Anyone notice, UO is now on the Mythic website, and is on their games list. Not only that but the official Warhammer website has a link to UOherald.com at the TOP of the page!

That is just absolutely happy making to me!

Bravo Mythic!

its probably because Mythic doesnt want to show off UO as it stands right now. They have nothing new to showcase so why promote it?? Give them a chance, soon as SA comes (whenever) I would bet that there would be a new link and something to showcase to the world. Till then... dont hold your breath. its not worth it.

I wonder if it was in the works all along or if we guilted them into it? Either way, it's reassuring to see :)

Thank you, Mythic.

Jeremy, looks like your E-Mail was answered!

Sorry for the muted thanks after all the agitation I've done on this....

Thank you. Thank you.

This is the kind of small step that means a lot.

I posted about (the lack of) this a while ago, for once it's nice to be wrong about UO being the forgotten step child, thank you EA/Mythic for affirming that UO is still here and adding it to the site!

(Now if we can just get official game forums again! :D )

I'm guessing it was a product of not reading the post and assuming I was complaining. So few things anyone truly gives praise for so I can almost understand why they would not read my message.

It's very typical of Uhall that, had you posted about a LACK of links etc, there would have been 100 replies, but the fact that links were added draws but a few...

Nice move Mythis ;)

Most people don't read messages. Why should they, they repeat some rants again and again anyway. &@#$%!

And on the subject, one link? One link in small font is not enough. Even if it is on the top of page. It isn't first one even.

Because they end up looking like idiots.

Wiki for Mythic and Ultima Online show no correlation between the two.

Who cares about Wikipedia? I'm talking about official websites that are supposed to professionally represent their products.

Besides, they ARE representing the product fine by means of their website, I honestly see no reason why warhammer should advertise UO or vice versa, but it's nice that they do. If Mythic is in charge of UO then they should at least admit to them being management and accept the responsibilities there in.

I for one would be proud to represent a game like UO, it's been around forever and is still making a LOT of money, and people still call it a fun game. I am sad when big business forgets about those things.

heehee

I have the main page up right now, looking at it, smiling.

Nice to see all of those 3 logos, arranged so neatly together, isn't it.....And finally our game's one of them.

Thank you, Mythic, for acknowledging us in this way; thank you Jeremy for sending that E-Mail.

I'm more concerned about their stock right now....I have no clue what it's doing.....but, just a concern.

Dude, everything is down, and we are talking about a company solely in the market for discretionary income. The good news is that value wise online games offer enormous bang for the buck, and no matter how bad it gets the internet is now a fixed part of the fabric of society.

I'm sure there are some corporate big wigs who are changing their diapers, but take heart, I'm sure R.G. is watchful. Ultima still has a huge fan base and lots and lots of web presence to support its many titles. Mythic in particular and EA as the parent, whether you agree with all of their corporate decisions in the past have been through very difficult financial times before and to the best of my knowledge are NOT invested in mortgage backed securities, well unless you are counting customizable housing available in several of their online titles.

It's about time they put UO up on there.

It should have been done from the get go and shouldn't have taken any pressure from anyone at all for it to have happened.

It is great to see us up there and linked in like that. Someone should address the difficulty level of finding the UOcode store by placing a nice juicy banner or other link that doesn't have to be searched out through the left hand menu tabs.

Not that people are going to be spending there in droves, but hey that is basically free money.

Keep after em Jeremy!

Give me a break. They have never advertised UO. I haven't even seen it in the store on shelves in 5 years or more. It amazes me they have any players at all because no one knows about this game. They don't market it; they don't advertise. Never have figured this out.

I am amazed and elated that they have given us this little bit of acknowledgment. Thank you, Jeremy.

Because it should have been there all along. We should kiss their bums now, for doing their paid jobs and managing their company websites?

Good grief.

No kidding.

I'm not sure which is more depressing: That it took months of complaining for Mythic to take five minutes out of their day to put the UO logo where it belongs, or that players are delighted nowadays when their game gets even five minutes of attention.

I really didn't get the impression that the OP was kissing anyone's bums...

I think it's great that UO is finally being recognized in the right places. Why can't we just acknowledge the positive without dredging up all this negativity?

The Avatar's Ankh trophy in WAR is pretty cool too, at least from what I have read, I just play UO. *grins*
