That is awesome!!
nice to see that with a little determination that the system can actually work in favour of a player every once in a while :>
I am curious about the method you used to bring about the change. Were you sending e-mails to specific people, calling, talking to GMs?
Cheers

He had a character named "Bob the Scribe" for several years....long before they made it "illegal" to use profession names in game (IE: "Angie the mage").
I guess someone with nothing better to do in game than to try and get another player in game in trouble or banned, complained. A GM took him to jail and gave him the random NPC name of "Erskine" (hence the sig). He appealed it (I think it was on the basis of the fact that the character was so old, as well as the fact that there are no NPC's with "...the scribe" in game), and now, after 4 long months, OSI appears to have ruled that "Bob the Scribe" is an alright name to have and will give it back to him /php-bin/shared/images/icons/smile.gif
I think that covered it in a nutshell.
Way ta go Bob the Scribe, you are still da man!
you got your old name back and you didn't get a ban
they knew they were wrong and they had to make good,
or they be gettin' a visit from my boyz in da hood
its bad enough they keep screwin' up a good game,
but to give someone a hard time just because of a name??
that seems a little rediculous don't ya think so??
i mean to take someone's name, that's pretty damn low
i'm glad they saw the error of thier silly little ways,
maybe they realize that friendly service is what pays
nah who am i kiddin' it's OSI were talkin' about,
they hardly ever listen when we yell, scream, and shout
Congrats Bob!! glad you have victory!!!! /php-bin/shared/images/icons/smile.gif

Wow, congratulations. I guess that you can fight City Hall! /php-bin/shared/images/icons/wink.gif
This creates quite a dilemma for me though: Now I am gonna have to take back the last three bad things I said about EA/OSI. /php-bin/shared/images/icons/wink.gif
