If an account is deactivated what happens to pets in stables?

Any stabled pets will still be in the characters stable on reactivation of the account.

But they'll still be there when you return, just ensure you have a LOT of food in your pack to make up for your absence :)

Actually the stablemaster will keep them well fed and groomed. The only point I am uncertain of, is does the stable master continue to deduct gold weekly for their care?

Just in case, leave ample gold in your bank box.

Pets are actually stored with the character data set. When you go to the stables to "retrieve" them the server rea-activates them: During daily maintenance the server calculates if a week has gone by and if so it deducts 30 gold from your bank vault for that pet. If you run out of gold the pet is automatically deleted and you never see it again. Unless the character is deleted or runs out of gold the pet will be there when the owner calls for it, regardless of how long or if the account has been inactive.

Used to be you could stable your packhorse with its saddlebags full. EA decided this was an exploit (Well...it is. Sort of.) and changed it so the packy couldn't be stabled with anything in its saddlebags. Pets stabled before that patch w/inventory and still stabled will still have the stuff on them. As long as the owner has money in his bank vault those pets and the stuff they're carrying will still be there, regardless if the account is active or not (Unless EA changes the code again, that is). Once retrieved they're subject to the new stabling rules, of course.

Very, Very, Very wrong!!! As DrDolittle said the stablemaster now only charges an initial 30gp when you stable your pet and nothing else after that.....
