Introducing the all-new Ultima Online Ledger! (http://www.uoledger.com)

After a long while of completely renovating the old UOLedger.com, I'm pleased to announce the new UOLedger '2.0' is complete and now fully accessible here (http://www.uoledger.com).

The Ultima Online Ledger is a live, breaking news source for Ultima Online. Unlike other news sites that only update once daily or rarely update at all, we are open and functioning 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If we hear of something news-worthy in Britannia we'll be updating our site and posting the most recent happenings for all of you!

I think your site looks great, but I'm confused. Does this offer anything that players can't read first-hand on the UOHerald?

Hi, and thanks :) As for your question, yes. Since it's just the first day of the new site the content is a bit low. As the days go on it will be updated a great deal and will feature anything and everything from in-game events to vendor house openings and sales. Our main goal is to become a news source where players can find news on more than just what's visible on UOHerald or UO Stratics (no offense, just using an example).

Similarly, we've covered events live in the past and have updated event guides as the event had progressed in real-time so players could use our site as a source of information for the event.

In short, with time we'll be featuring a lot of unique content and covering stories that no other site carries.

Keep your eyes peeled!! :)

Incidentally, noticed a very minor issue with your bullet lists on the bottom. May want to hide the bullet, or fix your alignment, or change the class.. Couldn't find it in your code, but you likely understand it better than I'm seeing it.

Oh snaps! I just fired up Firefox (no pun intended) and see the same thing. The issue doesn't exist in IE, but I'll definitely take a look at it and fix the alignment when I see where the issue is.

And yes, you got it as far as theme goes... customized to the hilt :P.

Edit: Fixed the alignment; was a problem with the CSS. Thanks for pointing it out :) If anyone else notices any display issues please let me know along with what browser you're using. Thanks!

Well the basic framework is, but everything from the background image to the CSS, color overlays and logo banner are unique (just so nobody jumps the gun) :P.

And thanks Gareth, the goal was to make it more user-friendly than the last site. One of the most common requests I received back in the day was to not make everything so cluttered. Hopefully now it's a little easier on the eyes.

I'm more than open to any suggestions from the UO community, so don't be shy to give me a holler!

SevenFaith: I agree, the "What's Hot" box is kind of lame right now. The reason for this is because the old way of posting articles (during 2008) had me using keywords in a really awkward fashion. Thus, when I added the "hot box", the keywords from older articles flooded it and are causing the irrelevant hot links (i.e. links that say just, "uo" or "the"). This will be cleaned up and the hot box will contain more relevant, up-to-date hot links very soon.

Nok: Thanks very much. The first UOLedger.com back in 2008 received many hits from your toolbar so I definitely appreciate the support. And if anyone hasn't heard, Nok's UO Toolbar is amazing. It has just about every UO resource you could imagine combined. Definitely check it out :)
