Help a noob plox!!!

I'm trying to mark a rune so I can use it, but I don't know how high my magery skill needs to be for me to successfully cast Mark on it. I've looked all over the interwebs and the only thing I come across is 'fairly high'...wtf is 'fairly high'? I know my magery skill isn't that high right now, it's only around 36. My inscription skill is around that or lower, so that alternative is out of the question.

If I could just know how high my magery needs to be to use it, then I can start working on how to get it up from there.

Oh yeah, and I'm really trying to refrain from asking someone to do it for me.
Someone please help me, I've been looking all day and can't find anything!

6th level spells require 60 plus magery, 8th level 80 plus magery.

You might be able to cast it using a mark scroll that you buy from a player's vendor.

I think you may need at least 40 magery for a scroll to work though.

I think scrolls work for 2 levels below and at 36 your 2 and 1/2 levels below.

Ask banksitters to mark a rune for you if your at a bank.

Or get magery to 40 and buy a batch of mark scrolls. You will probably still fail some even then.
