Using a gargoyle character with a crafted soulforge.
If a new character, set imbuing to 50 at creation
Otherwise purchase from an NPC artificer (40%) Unless on Siege/Mungen.

No gains off fails.

0 - 25 unravel (492 residue obtained)
at 25 imbue except leather caps, reflect physical damage, 4%. cost 1 residue, 2 citrine.
at 26 getting from 25 - 26 I had 1 fail
at 27 - 1 fail
@ 27 move to 5% rpd - citrine cost goes up from 2 - 3. Choice here, imbue over the 4%, keeping the same items, or unravel to recover residue and make new items. Recommendation is unravel.
at 28 - 5 fails.
at 29 - 11 fails, 1 success without gain.
at 30 - 3 fails, 1 success without gain.
@ 30 move to 6% rpd - cost now 2 residue, 4 citrine.
at 31 6 fails
at 32 - 9 fails
at 33 - 4 fails, 3 success without gain.
@ 33 move to 7% rpd, cost remains 2 + 4.-
at 34 - 7 fails, 1 success without gain
at 35 - 8 fails, 1 success without gain
at 36 - 4 fails, 2 success without gain
at 37 - 6 fails, 4 success without gain.
at 38 - 6 fails, 3 success without gain
@38 move to 8% rpd cost now 2 + 5
at 39 - 9 fails, 6 success without gain
at 40 - 7 fail, 1 success without gain. (start here if skill bought)
at 41 - 7 fails, 3 success without gain.
at 42 - 3 fails, 4 success without gain,
at 43 - 1 fail, 4 success without gain,
@43 move to 9% rpd, cost 3 + 6
at 44 - 5 fails 4 success no gain
at 45 - 13fails, 11 success no gain
at 51 imbue hit dispel on daggers at 2% 6 failures and 16 successes to 52.
at 55 go to 4% - 16 failures and 20 successes to 56
at 58 go to 6% - 39 fails and 34 successes to 59
continue to imbue hit dispel, increasing the intensity as follows:
@60 imbue 8%; @62 - 10%; @64 - 12%; @66 - 14%, @68 - 16%; @70 - 18%; @72 - 20%; @74 - 22%; @76 - 24%; @77 - 26%; @78 - 28%; @79 - 30%; @80 - 32%; @81 - 34%; @82 - 36%; @83 - 38%; @84 - 40%;

@85 add 2nd property (to daggers with 40% hit dispel )2% hit (energy) area; @89 - 4%; @90 - 6%; @91 - 10%; @92 - 12%; @93 - 14%; @95 - 16%; @97 - 18%; @98 - 22%; @99 - 24%; @100 - 26%; @101 - 28%; @102 - 30%; @103 - 32%; @104 - 34%; @105 - 35%; @106 - 38%; @107 - 40%;

@108 add 3rd property (to daggers with 40% hit dispel, 40% hit area effect) - Resist (any) 1%; @ 109 - 2%; @ 111 - 3%; @ 112 - 4%; @ 113 - 5%; @ 115 - 6%; @ 116 - 7%; @ 117 - 8% ;@ 118 - 9%; @ 119 - 10%; @ 120 - 11%.

"30 move to 6% rpc" - typo?
What you used at 51 imbue? I hope its not leather cap with hit dispel on self :stretcher:
As for 2nd and 3rd properties - which are 1-2 was before?
edit: NPC daggers or crafted? how much DI bonus (from except arms lore if any)

For alternate path - which success chance range?

Petra Fyde
09-02-2009, 06:33 AM
crafted, gm bonus, no armslore.
Success chance range 50 - 64%

Well done Petra,

now we are all just waiting for SA to launch.
Did you loose the reagents on fails?

some, not all. The guide might need to be re-written in the light of the changes made after the open beta, some of the residue/essence/fragment requirements were changed, sadly I didn't find time to re-test in the final few days of testing. The ingredients table page will be updated as soon as I can after NDA is officially lifted.

Oki,

will I get the same reagents that I need for imbuing via unraveling?

And Im talking about the early stages, like starting from 50.
I have forgot the diagram showing some facts.

Total intensity of 400% = relic
Total intensity of 200% ? = essence
Total intensity of 100% ? = residue

At what level of imbuing is it possible to unravel essence?
EDIT:Found an answer in other thread. Was 50.1 during test.
If still the same,it will work great when I start with 50 imbuing skill.

I may have missed this, you can unravel runic crafted valorite metal pieces right??

Im just hoping so as ive kept back every piece of armour/weapon i have crafted since i heard about unraveling

The Scandinavian

It was said that it was not possible to unravel items that had special resource on it,like valorite ingots or barbed leather.

But maybe that is changed during closed beta.

I don't use UOAM and I am using old client, so dont know if there is a macro or not to speed up imbue training. A trick I found is to buy multiple Unravel bags, and have my Crafters craft the low lvl runic items directly into unravel bag, drop bag at home and then my Imbuer can p/u bag and imbue items, then rinse and unravel w/o transferring the items to the bag...

Saves a step or two...

Just a update, when you change at 85 to doing 2 imbues per wep you dont actually need to as its cheeper and easier to do another 2 lvls [86.87] with the 42% and 44% on the hit dispell then at 88 or 89 start doing the second imbue of hit enery area

LordTesla
09-10-2009, 05:53 AM
Not sure this list is accurate... At 51.0 and 2% Dispell isn't working to gain... Moved it up to 44% and gain almost everytime... I gain most when there is only a 25% or lesser success chance.

Are you trying to imbue on exceptional or normal daggers? i suspect normal. this will cost you way more materials that if you imbue an exceptional dagger then the 2% will be at about 50% sucess and only cost 1 residue 1 gem :D

I found cheaper item for 70+ imbue.
except plate suneate (120 smith with talisman), it have mage armor property which count as 140% weighted mod.
70-72 Imbue 1% rpd
72-74 Imbue 2% rpd
74-76 Imbue 3% rpd
76-78 Imbue 4% rpd
78-80 Imbue 5% rpd

Im finally at 85... it really slows down here because if you want to keep your items for the future you have to do everything one at a time, you cant just imbue last 10 times. Grrrrrr

Dumb question, but I guess you need to find a soul forge to imbue. Where can you find one?

Basara

Look for all the people standing around it, west of the Ter Mur Bank. The three NPCs that train Imbuing are standing around it as well.

thank you.Brilliant ideas of making things cheaper to train.
What sucess rate are you looking for to get the best gains?

Im now aimig for about 45-50% sucess rate.
I have only just started and are now at mid 50.

Is it possible that I don't have the reflect physical damage option in the beggining ? Should we get the receipe somewhere ?

Weapons and Armor have some different properties.

No recipes are needed

Armor has Reflect Physical Damage

Why do you make a suneate that uses 20 ingots when you could make a hiro sode, that also has the mage armor property at exceptional, for only 16?

Myna
09-12-2009, 03:46 PM
prolly because the exceptionla chance is a lot lower, so at the end you need more ingots

Basara
09-12-2009, 07:07 PM
If you use an ASH & a good exceptional bonus talisman (most of us have low-end ashes sitting around all over the place, if we've been smithing for years), you can make both at 100% exceptional, so go for the less ingots.

I think only the Kabutos require more than an ASH +15 with a mid-20s% Exceptional Bonus talisman.

104-.. 1st mod 13rpd (once), 2nd mod 7 lrc (9 times)

Hey All,

Used this method and did wonderfully through 80-100 - After that I added a slight twist, Imbue 13 RPD > Luck 10-39 > LRC 1-3 - This is great for those who are looking at the best ROI while not minding a few extra mouse clicks.

Also get as much Oak as you can and use a fletcher to make Bows from Oak to Unravel. This is netting the highest return of Coin to Residue.

Good Luck!
