SA Client Laggy Response Time

When ever I move my character, move a window or item in game it takes around a second to respond to the action in game. As it stands the client is completely unplayable like this.

My spec are:

• 2ghz Core Duo Intel imac (booted using Windows XP only because there is no Mac client)
• 2gb ram
• ATI Radeon X1600 graphics - 128mb GDDR3 memory
• 10mb cable internet connection
• Lots of free HD space

Does anyone have any idea how I can reduce this lag?

Stab in the dark, but you could try defragging.

The fact that it does it when moving a window (which is purely client-side) means it's not a network issue. Aside from that, update your graphics drivers? Try toggling full screen mode, see if it does it in both modes?

Reduce resolution, to see if it affects it?

Thank, I'll try a lower res, toggle full screen. The graphic drivers never get updated unfortunately. Maybe theres a new direct version out. Failing that I'll format the computer as its probably about due.

You could try installing the 2D client. It probably won't have the same issue, and would at least be playable even if you're not a fan of 2D. It's something to use until you get the other client sorted out.
