I was fighting liches in covetous just now, and every once in a while i'd kill one and a bunch of what looked like red musical notes emanated from its course as it fell. what does this mean??

in KR client red musical notes comes from bard skills.
But when you kill a monster you see some effects on it. Its the same effect you see as from the firecracker that drop on its corpse. And you seen the musical notes on a monster after you killed it.One of the firecracker effects are musical notes too. http://boards.stratics.com/php-bin/shared/images/graemlins/smile.gif
