Custom House

I swear that once upon a time, when i cleared my house to just a plot, all my goods were placed in the moving crate.
However, i just attempted to revert to my house plot and all my items are still where they were before (floating in mid air etc).
How do i do it so that all my items go into the moving crate so that i dont have to build around them?
Any help on this matter is much appreciated

Go back into customization mode and place a wall tile on every available tile on the plot, and on every story. Once you have that, commit the design and everything will be in the moving crate.
