Well, If you look in the evnts NOBODY posted an evnt for CJing! I thought maybe, we could do CJ's as a regular event and not just on Sundays. Now, I didnt post this in the Event Forum because its pointless until I know that people Will actually COME. Could someone offer any suggestions for when it should be?:grouphug:
I was thinking Saturday
4 pm Central Time
Dist. Goofyport
But If that does'nt work Ill try whatever does.

actually, if you read trish's posting it says:
After the CFO, approximately 7:30, we will meet on the platform at the left side of Lawbot Headquarters. Please line up on the left side of the platform against the wall so it's easier to count everyone.
that's not to say trying to get another cj group together is a bad idea...but she did post it.

I like the idea of having the opportunity to do separate runs too. I can't always get my suit filled up by Sunday. Yesterday was a HUGE lesson for me. I went on the 9 hole and only got 1703 stock options, the toons I was with couldn't wait for an invasion. I needed 5500. THen went thru 6 hole and got glitched out just before the boss fight. So went thru the 3 hole, but didn't get nearly what I needed, and by that time, it was time to meet the group for CEO.
And Wolfie, your links didn't work.:sad3:

I would be interested in a CJ event. I am very interested in maxing CJ for the invasion summons!! The only problem I see is that the notice requirements get to be so harsh the bigger suit you get that it is hard for me to get notices sometimes for once a week runs!! (not to mention my extreme dislike of the DA if randoms are involved!!!). I would like to try though!! Evening would be better for me no matter what day it is planned for. Also, sometime in the middle of the week would work better for me. If we do it on Sat, there is little chance I will be able to get notices for Sunday runs and if I had to pick a Sat run over a Sun run, I think I would choose to go on Sunday. Unless of course Trish and her partners (Youngun and Hile I think)come to the Sat runs and stun for us!!!! I would stay up all night to get the notices to do it again on Sunday!!!:thumbup1: LOL

If done right, you may be able to do two Middle 6 runs in the same time as a Back 9, but you'll get more stock for it. So basically, avoid the B9 like the plague, unless you just want or need 100 straight cogs.
Glitched out? Explain please.

I agree with you about the need for getting more notices, it can be a pain when you need the 14k. What I'd recommend in that case is to get all you other items first (merits, bucks, stock), with the easiest to fill being done first. Once those are done, then each time you do a DA run, it seems that much closer to being ready for the next run. Either that, or if you can't make it to a non-Sunday CJ run, then oh well, skip that one. No biggy. :)

Now that merits and bucks, at least on Sally, arent an issue, I want to concentrate on CEO and CJ, esp CJ for the invasions. Options arent really and issue because it is really easy to get a group together for cog golfing and randoms dont seem to be as big an issue. I also LOVE cog golfing and would go in for fun whether I needed options or not!! The DA is a different ballgame!! It seems harder to find a group to go with. Maybe we could try to set a tentative time to try to get notices. I know Elga and I have gone on Monday and Wed nights before and that was great......with the exception of that monkey!!!! Would Monday and Wed nights work for anyone else? Is it me or does anyone else's life seem to be revolving around Stratics TT events???!!!!!!

I have heard from others too that the 9 isn't such a grand idea. Besides taking half a lifetime, cog golfing has so many glitches in it with good chances of being booted. It has happened to me. It is very frustrating to get close to the end only to get stuck somewhere and then lose connection after that much time investment. It has also happened at the beginning where something happens and one toon loses connection and you are faced with doing that long run with 3 toons which just makes everything even longer. I will do a 9 with friends but multiple 6s are easier and less risky.
It would be cool to setup a time to do DA's. I'm a mere 10 levels from the key and if my Boss SO's get too much, I'll probably put it aside until I max law. Haha and yes your life can revolve around TT events. If I went to every function, and I try to, I wouldn't get anything else done. So I'm kinda picky and choosy lately. DA 4 LIFE :gun:

Im feeling the same way....those inv summons are just too handy!! Esp now that I am working smaller toons. I will be able to call an inv to help finish tasks. Unfortunately for me, I need like 40 more wins!! Monday and late Wed nights would work for me, and I know these are the times you set aside too, right Elga? Any takers??? Maybe we could divide into groups to make sure that there is at least one toon who can do the puzzles......they arent hard once you practice and esp if someone can explain them as you are working them with the SF feature. It would be better for 2 to go in. I know if I am lagging at all the moving skull puzzle is next to impossible for me so if there is someone who isnt lagging they can go for it. Pinky and I did a TON of practice puzzles by going into the A elevator with our tiny toons and talked on the phone the whole time!! Very effective!!! You just bail after the puzzle is done cuz its always first.
The drawback if we can get this to work, Elga, would be no more long necked, gag-training, puzzle tripping monkeys!!! AW MAN!!!!!rolleyes:

That is what is so much fun about the DA! You first enter the main doors only to be bombarded with 35 laff toons who need to defeat lawbots, but would rather go through and risk their lives than go to the Brrghh and fight on the streets.
"Can you help me?
"Sorry I can't."
"You stink!"
..and you know the rest. Then when you wait these noob toons will like hump you and take advantage of you physically while waiting for others to show up. By the time you get in the elevator you are exhausted from all of the noob abuse outside.
BUT Yes Monday Nights usually 7:30ish-9:30ish EST I'm up for (2) DA if needed.
Wednesday is pretty much the same.

I am not able to get on until at least 8:45 EST on Wed nights. I could maybe do an earlier run but would have to leave by 6pm. If Wed evening early works for everyone else, go for it though!! Maybe we could do a CJ and then a DA on Wed night. How about the Monday night DA runs? About 7:30? Does that fit anyone besides Elga and I?

Well, if it fit more peoples schedules, then maybe -
CJ on Monday around say 7:30 pm Eastearn time
Then follow it up with a DA office D or C
ON wednesday, another DA office? Or should that be a CJ?

Oh, I wish I could say it would work for me, but 7:30 est is dinnertime here, so I can't promise. I definitely will say I will get on as soon after as possible and see if you have started on time. So don't count me as anything regular.....

Im thinking it may be hard to get notices for a run on Monday night after the CJ on sunday. I was thinking Monday for DA runs to get ready for a CJ run on Wednesday. Maybe another option could be doing a CJ after the CEO on Thurs nights. Would that work? That way if you need a lot of notices after Sundays CJ you would have the Monday and Wed DA runs to try to get them. And maybe there will be more toons already on for the CEO so it wouldnt be another night!! What do you think?
Granjell

I think it would be better to CJ after CEO. We're all getting so much better at CEO and it doesn't seem to take near as long as it used to.

What I meant by glitched out is that after getting off the car all I had was a black screen. I could hear everything, and even type and I think my friends understood me, cause I told them to go on that I had to sign out and they went along. I was very close to the end, too.

How about DA runs on monday, 8pm eastern
then DA runs either before or after the CJ(or both) on Wednesday
Or maybe thursday after CEO runs
Stubby

I like the idea of going to the DA on Mondays and/or Wednesdays and possibly doing a CJ Thursday after CEO. SOmething like that.
Puzzles - I can do the skull search game very well. I have that game on my cell phone, play it all the time. The only one I really have trouble with is the one where the skulls bounce around.
I am very flexible as to when to play, except for Wednesdays. I can come on only after about 8:30 or 9:00. Oh and on Fridays in the early evening my daughter sometimes has meetings with the folks she runs some RPGs and Forums with. But that isn't every Friday.

It has happened to me at least 3 times where I would get off a cart and not be able to move. I am in a grey/black box. I can move and talk to people but cant leave the box!! If this happens to you, just wait it out. After they stomp the gophers and run the maze, you will show up on the next cog battle. You will lose 20 points for not finishing the maze in time but you don't have to X out of it and you will still get all your options!!

Mine was a totally black screen, could not see anything except the cursor and if I hit the space bar I could type to my sf.

Quoting from another post of mine...
Sun: Beans, VP, CFO, CJ starting at 7PM
Mon: VP, 10PM eastern for standard run. SOS shopping after that.
Tue: CFO marathon, 8PM
Wed: CJ, 10PM eastern marathon.
Thu: CEO, 8PM
Fri: Golf at 10PM eastern.
Sat: Go with what's active (Fishing Bingo, Racing, Trolley)
All times being eastern.
Ok what I'm thinking is this..
Each day, after the scheduled event, go on "merit runs". Merit runs meaning to go into the factory/mint/DA/CGC, whichever you need.
If there is a predetermined time to meet at the different locations (one time, all events, go where you need help the most), then it would just be a matter of piling into the elevator and going. For all events, use the Stratics greeting to identify if necessary.
Factory
When possible, go in the side elevator and do the short factory run. During an invasion, this will get you 520 merits. If you need 1100 or 5500, alternate between 520 and 584 runs. After you are out of the factory, get gags and return.
Mints
Bullion and Dollar's. Go to which you need. After people have loaded, if you can do a Bullion but are at Dollar, then go to Bullion. If not, say "Sorry, I can't" and see if enough will join you in the Dollar. Avoid the coin mint, it's where there will be a large amount of shuffling. If there is a room where you can skip a set of cogs, then either say "I need more Cogbucks." if you need those cogs, or if you don't, ask "Which way?". This way if no one needs those extra cogs, the group can skip past and finish sooner.
DA Office
Stand in front of the office you need. When it's time to start boarding, any strays at 'A' should migrate over to 'B' to try to form a group of 4. After that, any strays from 'B' should go to 'C', etc. The idea behind this is that if there are 5 people at A, 2 people at B and 1 at C, then 4 will go in A, 0 in B and 4 in C. So each person is doing the minimum that they need, and not anything less. (Yes, in theory this is wonderful and in practice it'll be difficult, but the overall idea should work).
CGC - Cog Golf Course
Same thing. Go to which you need. After everyone has gone, any strays should float over from F3 to M6. On the rare chance that someone cannot board the M6, say "Sorry, I can't." to go back to F3.
The times:
At the start of the next hour after an event. For example, on Sundays, usually everything is done by 9:30. So then at 10:00, people would meet at the different spots to do the runs. At the end of each run, those who need to go (or are filled and want to work on another suit) say "I need to go" followed by "I'll be back later" if they are signing off, or "Let's go ...." to say where they are going to next.
Also, was thinking 8PM or 10PM each night (depending on if/when there is an event already scheduled).
What I can do is to set it up on the google calendars (with a note showing it's in the planning stages), and then people can comment on it after that. Sometimes it helps to see something laid out to see it as a good plan. Yes there will be things to work out about it, but I'm sure it'll be easier to see it as a posted schedule than different times tossed around.

I've added a few example items to the calendar for viewing. They are marked with *PS*. The "Merit Runs" could be done based on the next scheduled event. Example, after Sunday's run, the next event would be the VP on Monday, so everyone would meet at the factory to get merits. Then Monday night, everyone would go stock up on Cogbucks.
Of course, during the marathons/shopping runs, those who need more merits (during SOS shopping) or Cogbucks (during CFO marathons) could group together to get what they need, to be ready for Sunday again. In a way, the SOS shopping/CFO marathons would be a suit promotion for the first run, then runs after that would be for those who are maxed, while the others get ready for the Sunday runs. Then everyone could possibly get each of their suits promoted twice a week without much hassle to it.

FRIDAY was the SOS shopping and VP day so Monday should be DA Office day other than that If anyone can stay after an event then they should form a group and get "merits".
So Is everyone ok with this-
Sun- Beanfest and boss battles
Mon- Da Office runs and or cog golf day
Tues- CFO day then later Time for mints
Wed- CJ and then DA offices after
Thurs-CEO then CJ then DA offices for those who couldnt CJ and those who already have
Fri- VP then SOS shopping then MAYBE factories after if its not too late
Sat- Maybe more cog Golf Factory runs or mints
Does that work for everyone?

Secondly, the *PS* events are to give a visualization of that schedule so that people can get a better idea of what might or might not work for them.
As for the schedule I offered, I think it'd be better for the simple fact that after the Sunday runs, you'd fight the bosses in order. VP one day, CFO the next, etc.

This sounds good to me. I may be being selfish here, but I would like to keep the Monday/Wednesday DA and CJ a priority. If someone needs options too that is great. I like the idea of going to whichever you need. Hopefully there will be enough people to make it work!! I find that the DA is the hardest one to find a good group to go with and if you find yourself with a bad group, the most difficult to endure! What times were you thinking of doing this?

Oh and speaking of DA office idiots: In d DA office D We went as a 105 109 108 and a 110 laff gruop. We came up to the first set of puzzles. It was Avoid The Skulls, one of my favorite puzzles. As the skulls Are falshing around I say "ill get this one" beacuse usually I can. But the 109 duck ignores me and goes ahead. He steps on a square with a square in it. Than he pauses to look around even though he had NO clue apparently. Then the square turns into a skull, so boom thers our first battle. Across from the puzzle was Skull finder a cat was trying to be very careful and the duck just runs up and starts runnin around. Well tht was another set of holos. THEN on the 2nd floor we see a matching game I M PRACTICALLY DONE WITH THE PUZZLE exept for like 2 squares. Then the ding-dong RUNS UP TO THE PUZZLE AND RUNS RIGHT ACROSS IT TURNING EVERY SQUARE RED AND STEPPING ON THE SKULL. AND WE'RE LIKE "STOP THAT!"(In a nice way) So theres ANOTHER set of holos. Across from that puzzle was skullfinder and He we managed to get that before he came. on two more puzzles, I whispered to the dog to hurry and solve it before the duck comes. She did and here he comes up to a matching game. As i walk up to the square he comes on the board and steps on a square. "stop that" "please dont bother me". He walks up another square. NO!! and Stop that! and Ill get this one. He walks up another square and despite angry protests he runs up and presses the skulls. The dog had enogh and ran, then the duck ran too. wedding cake missed, lure missed twice and drop didnt finish off a cog forcing me to use my TU unite. Yeah....this is EXACTLY what I am trying to avoid. I KNOW how frustrated you were!! I think duckie may be related to a long-necked, gag-training, puzzle tripping monkey that Elga and I ran into!!!! Only after numerous warnings, when she continued to trip the puzzles intentionally, we let her have her wish and she is the one that ended up in the playground. DA office with randoms is a scary thing!!!
7:30-8 is good on Mondays, but on Wed, I will not be able to be there until at least 8:45 EST. I can just catch the next run though. Do we have a district? Are we gonna shoot for river for the invasions? If we dont do river, we will be using our inv summons all the time which kinda makes it hard to fill a book. To do a "D" without the benefit of an invasion is just..........wrong!! LOL

Unlike Law, where each office 'D' takes at minimum of 35 to 40 minutes, and you have to do at least 9 runs to be ready. Add in the fact that there is CFO on Tuesdays, and then when you spend Monday working Law, you end up not being able to CFO on Tuesday.
My idea has merit (no pun intended), just needs to be given fair consideration. :)

But to avoid getting unnecessarily frustrated, I've taken up the attitude of "Three strikes and you're out." If someone does it once, could be a mistake or bad luck. Twice in a row and it's bordering on disrespect. Third strike, they're on their own for then on for each puzzle they trip. If they survive the puzzle, that's great and yes they'll get a toonup at the next battle. I'm pretty sure after that though, they'll get the hint that they either need to leave the puzzles alone, or that they need to do them correctly.

The others, if they listen, will probably stand next to you and watch. Then when they pest triggers them again, say "Have you been here before?" and if you have it "Feeling lucky?" That should convey to the others that you don't think that the player should get their butt saved yet again. Let them suffer it out. After that battle, I'm sure that player will be more careful.

Ok ok i will try that. I accidentally tripped a Skull finder puzzle because there was only two options left and i made a wrong guess. THAT IS NOT WORTH BEING STINKED. Aafter that the sitution was handled we defeated the holo's. ON THE NEXT FLOOR. The toon runs because she was still angry at me. ???

I'd like to join this too but I can't promise to be present weekly because of time zone issues.
I ditch work enough as it is.
Has the schedule been finalized already? If anyone wants a TF code to make organizing easier, just let me know.

It seems that all my suits this week are being promoted to the next suit. I cant get into the game to see what I need so, I will see what I can do.
