Ok, I'd like to try to start making custom content but I understand that you need the sims 1 to test your objects. Well, not thinking I would ever need them again I gave mine away http://boards.stratics.com/php-bin/shared/images/graemlins/frown.gif. It's snowing horribly today and I don't want to go out. Does anyone know where I can buy and download a digital copy of the software. I don't want any illegal sites. I've tried direct2drive and the ea site and they don't have direct downloads. If not, I guess I'll brave the weather and go buy it.

A lot of people have been saying to use limewire to download The Sims...the problem is you need a verification code found on the back of the CD case. So, even if you could download, I don't know if you'd be able to use the game afterwards.
You can just buy The Sims Deluxe. It really doesn't matter if you have expansions or not, unless you have Hard Drive issues.

I decided to go out and buy the whole collection. Actually, it's been years since I've played it so I may spend some time with it as well as making custom content for online.
