Custom Chairs...too expensive...

If I purchase a Maxis chair for my store, it costs around 200 bucks, but to craft a comfort 10 custom content chair it can cost me up to 1300 bucks. The average chair for a single item crafting is around 1200 bucks to make and chairs normally come in pairs. Dining chairs in sets of 5 or 10. but I can't afford to pay 5000 bucks to make 5 chairs.

Tables on the other hand, dirt cheap. I can make a 1-tiled dining table pretty cheap, costs way less than the chair...but they offer no room score, which I don't like either.

Yes the chairs get expensive very fast.

The file size is bigger, they have more rotations, and then there's the comfort setting. Anything more than comfort "moderate" (2 out of 4) gets too expensive.

High comfort chairs will probably be a luxury I won't allow myself again...
Can't sell them and can only reorder 10 at a time, otherwise the cost per chair will skyrocket.

I made a playground swing in 3d, it got very high, so the sim wouldent "crash" their head on the top pole lol.
and 1 chair costed like 700 something for comfort 4!!!
and I was like OMG!

I dident even dare to think about what a comfort 6 would cost lol.

Luckily it gets a little cheaper each chair when u upload 5 or 10.

I have to agree that custom chairs are more expensive compared to tables and sculptures. For customers playing TSO I see little point in purchasing CC chairs with less than comfort 10. The only reason to purchase chairs with less comfort and lower cost would be in a residential lot where needs are not so important. I hope that the cost of chairs does not prevent CC creators from continuing to offer the community good comfort. Unfortunately, I've already begun to see some busy money and skill houses use chairs with less comfort. Perhaps the dynamic of the community is changing and less importance is being placed upon greening values of items. Only time will tell. It is wonderful to see players finally departing from their morroccan blue chair ways.

Yes Gracie, Ive seen more and more lower comfort ones..
Earlier I made chairs in all comfort levels, but to find out the lower levels sold the best. and the higher comfort dident..

Due to that the price is high, and in the beginning ppl dident seem to care much for what comdort it was, but more for the looks, and it being new and poular.

Now I have only chairs in 4 and 6 in comfort at my store.
But I tell my customers and I also have in shop bio, that if they need higher ones I will do that of course. But that means they have to wait, so I get it uploaded and approved, and that will take 1 day normally.
