This is a Siege only problem, that's the only place the hero/evil dyed items exist, and as far as I know there's no way to undo it.

Which is why you'll find threads on Siege board trying to trade like for like hero - evil dyed items.

I heard a GM could do it but you would have to be very lucky to get one who would. Mostly you are stuck.

They won't hero and evil items are what they are. Once the item is deemed hero evil may never use the item again the evil items work the same no hero may equip the item again. It is just part of the game it was designed to work that way so there is little chance it will be changed by a GM especially if they are familiar with the way the system works.

if it is a specific class then why would you think it would change if you changed the color??

elf stuff doesn't change to human if you change it's color.

Someone suggested it and I took a shot. It was a Faction modified item, but as indicated in a previous post, this property has been removed thanks to a very helpful GM. (I won't post his name here because I don't want to get him in trouble, just in case being helpful was against their ROC). But thank you for your input Lord Kynd.
