Any proposed fix?
Something needs done about the effectiveness of dci/hci. Is there anything in the future associated with a fix to either of these?
With a full dci stacked Mage (63 total DCI) I still get with every single swing/shot (even from people with a minute bit of HCI).
The balancing of these 2 is not there. It's almost as tho the devs (whom obviously don't play mages) are trying to make mages obsolete. There should be no reason that a Mage with a well built suit can't compete with a half-suited dexxy. Especially given the talent gap needed to play one over the other.

Its just the RNG. You never notice when you're not getting hit, but only remember when you do.
Pretty sure it isn't broken, just a poorly coded RNG function.

Two different above max dci necromages. And I would notice if I was not being hit.. It doesn't matter if I'm up against an archer or a dexy.. 9/10 hits are landed. And each one is in upwards of 20+ dmg. Factor in them hitting once every 2 or less seconds, and that makes a mini heal worthless.

HCI/DCI probs isnt your problem, it's HLD. And if HLD is your problem, maybe you need HLA to counter it. If you aren't a mage wep tank, then that might be hard to do, and against a well suited archer it becomes very tough even if you do have HLA. Plus, archers can chug pots with bows on, so eh. Yeah, lots in a dexxer's or archer's favor. If they get first hit, it's hard to come back.
Are you a wrestler or a tank/hybrid of some sort?

You need a wep skill, wrestle, anat, or a mage wep.
DCI is not going to work by itself. Im guessing this is your problem, but i'm honestly hoping its not.
Anyway, DCI works fine. Try playing without it and then compare.

50 hit lower attack
13 hci
6 dci
and something else I believe. So that shouldn't be a prob.

HCI and DCI are capped at 45%. Also if you don't have 120 defense skill you are going to suffer a lot compared to someone who does.

If anything DCI on mages needs to be knocked down a notch. There is no reason you should be able to block a single hit from a legendary warrior. Sure you put on max DCI, they are wearing max HCI which should cancel each other out. So you now are taking their 120 Legendary skill against no defensive skill. Sorry bud, but you should absolutely be getting hit every time.
What really needs a fix is a way to parry mage spells.

It's called evasion.
Plus, if a warrior/archer hit a mage everytime that would be ridiculous. You are looking at a minimum 35 damage from an AI. Take into account that some temps can spam 6-7 specials in a row.
How would a mage ever survive if no cross healing?
BTW, sometimes I will get hit 10 times in a row while others I wont get hit 10 times in a row. The RNG is a crazy thing and the formula (summarized) is below:
If you have 120 mage skill (with mage wep) and they have 120 wep skill then you have a 50 percent chance of getting hit.
If you also have 45 DCI and they have 45 HCI then you have a 50 percent chance of getting hit.
Sometimes the quarter falls on heads 10 times, and other times it may not. However, you are looking at a very small window. If a bow swings every 2-3 seconds and does 45 damage to you every hit. Then its possible within 10 seconds you could be running for your life (and being chased down with moving shot).
lol

Yes saint, I have 120 Mage. And endrik... They have parry against spells. It's called evasion.
I'm just confused as to why it seems that after SA was introduced, dexy-type chars have become over powered.

Here's the beauty of rock/paper/scissors. If they have evasion, then your mage can mana vamp them. No mana = no specials = no evasion. They are not running resist if they run bushy/parry. Every template has it's perks, and weaknesses. If you really wanted to, you could cut your med down to 60ish drop that mage wep, pick up 100 anat/120 eval for your necro, and carry a shield. Then you'd never have to worry about disarm spams. Or, you could do like Lynk, thrown on an anat/parry verion for a non-necro mage, and not worry about dexxers hitting you. You'd have to have guildies help killing peeps obv (like Lynk) because your spells would hit like a chick, but you'd solve the getting waxed problem vs dexxers.
