Default Free Accounts

What is going on with free accounts? Do we have to pay after 14 days, or is it now free? I was told it was free, and all I had to do was Renew/resubscribe my account. If that isn't true, then will my Sim be deleted if I don't have it set as paying after the 14th? I am confused.

You will still be able to play for free, you will just be limited to what you can do.

You can still play for free in TC3 after the trial ends. I logged in there 2 nights ago, with an expired trial account. Your sim won't be deleted, as far as I know, as long as your account is active. I'm not sure how the 90 day rule will apply with free accounts. Click the image to open in full size.

I don't think TC3 has any limitations on free accounts. EA-Land, on the other hand, will have restrictions for free players.

I am not sure that seems a good idea. Free players will therefore tend to stay in the test city, and not act as economy and play enrichers in EA-Land.

ok ima try and be calm here *takes several deep breaths*

I was under the assumption that Test Center was FREE PLAY.
And there were NO rerstrictions.

So my boyfriend and I set up home in Test Center 3.... and invested $30 REAL CASH using the Test Center ATM's....

I now cannot get on to my OWN lot that I paid real money for. I may not be a paying subscriber but I paid "through the nose" at the ATM's, as did my boyfriend.

And now we cant even open our own home. What is up with that??

I read all the rules and terms and it clearly stated "Test Center did not require a subscription and there were no restrictions outside of the fact we could not "cash out".

k... i am sorry if that sounded a bit rude, but I am extremely upset over investing our own hard earn "real money", which is just as real as paid subscriber money.

Please help, because i dont like the idea of being out $30.00, when it says we did not have to pay for Test Center.

Basically, from what I understand is this....

TC3 is normally free to do whatever for those who don't have subscriptions IE: Free players.

At the moment, EA is testing (what seems to be) methoods of locking lots from Non paying users. It's going on TC3 right now because they're testing it. And what better place to do it than a TEST CENTER/SERVER.

Also from what I understand its only temp. And once they know that things work properly with it, they'll go ahead and move it on to EA land, and they'll roll TC3 back to normal.

Hopefully that made sense lol

Is TC3 eventually going to be shut down? And also, will you be able to move a sim from the TC3 server to EA Land?

TC3 is the test city for EA-Land, and will not be closed. There may be changes in game play as a result of testing new versions for EAL.

All avatars, items and money in TC3 will never be able to move into EA-Land, and there will never be the ability to cash out, whether you are a Free or Premium player.

Hope that answers your questions, spinfex.Click the image to open in full size.
